En Plen Air

Some plen air painting i've done over the month of November. Its become kind of a new past-time for me, i can't wait till winter break where i'll have the time to go out every other day and paint outside :)
First plen air experience :) 3 hours

Practicing with a palette knife, Sunset on Indian beach, took about 2 hours i guess... or however long the sunset lasts...

Lido Beach, about 2 hours also.

Later i'll put up an urban landscape i did with my painting class that took about 3 days to complete. We went back to the same spot 3 times over 2 weeks at the same time of day (to get similar lighting conditions) and i decided to try to get something more completed and detailed than the quick studies above. Its amazing how different things look from day to day.
